Band History & Info |
The recently recharged Magnificent 7 return from their sabbatical in fine form with an abbreviated name and 2 new recruits. The bands original members Paul Willis (Vocals & Flute) Mick Connolly (Bass guitar) together with John 'JJ' Jenkinson (Guitars) have been joined by new boys Ian Higginbottom and Simon Freeston (Drums) which now completes the revamped line up.
Jon Whitham left in May to begin his musical retirement and to explore other avenues leaving the guitar slot available for Ian to fill after he turned up at an audition that a mate of the bands set up for him. Ian was settling in nicely when after a few short weeks, drummer Dave "Boll" Roberts dropped the bombshell that he was about to become a father and after much deliberation left the band. With the drum stool now vacant new boy Ian recommended an old acquaintance of his and an audition was duly set up. With Simon now residing behind the drum kit the rest, as they say, is history.
Which is exactly what you are now going to get. The bands set list comprises a stunning selection of classic rock covers through the years, from artists as diverse as Jethro Tull and Paul Weller, through to the timeless classics of Thin Lizzy and ZZ Top, plus a few surprises thrown in along the way. Hopefully something for everyone.
Thanks for your continued support.
